On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Fiona Hartigan, support manager community for Family Carers in Ireland, county Clare and Anne Micks, a family carer from Ennis who won the 2022 Netwatch Clare Family Carer of the Year. Family Carers Ireland is urging the public to support and help their national fundraising campaign, Heart of Gold. Anne discussed the lack of funding that carers receive and highlighted the areas that need to be improved. Fiona outlined the importance of fundraising and supporting carers.
