On Friday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Pauline O’Shea, Kerry native living in Ardnacrusha who has had heart failure for 11 years. Pauline joined Alan to speak on the most recent research which shows that more than a quarter of heart failure patients in Ireland (29.9%) feel abandoned after being discharged from hospital. Three quarters say their need for psychological help is not being met.

Pauline discussed the worries and fears she had encountered when she was first diagnosed and how she lives with her diagnosis.
