Psoriasis Awareness Month

On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Clare FM’s Programme Director, Padraic Flaherty who is one of many affected by psoriasis.

Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes a rash with itchy, scaly patches, most commonly on the knees, elbows, trunk and scalp. Psoriasis is a common long term (chronic) disease with no cure and currently affects 73,000 people in Ireland.

Psoriasis Awareness Month helps to spread positive information about psoriasis, while providing an opportunity for those living with psoriasis and their families to engage with the community and have their voices heard.
