On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Dr Susan Arthure, Graduate Student from Flinders University of South Australia’s Department of Archaeology to discuss the National Monuments Service’s 6th Annual Archaeology Conference.
Susan highlighted the overall theme of this years programme which looks at the evidence for arrival in Ireland and how archaeology can provide unique insights into how people adapted to new surroundings.
She discussed her work and what it involves, speaking about recent archaeological findings from the 1850s such as metal artifacts and tea cups.
Imirce: migration and Ireland through time is the title for the National Monuments Service’s 6th Annual Archaeology Conference. The conference will take next month, on the 7th of October.
