Morning Focus: Live Broadcast From LCETB Campus Ennis

On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey and the team were live from the Limerick Clare Education and Training Board in Ennis where we had a number of great guests throughout the day.

First on the show, we heard from Lena Hughes, Community Education Adult Educator about what is community education? She also give a description of the Introduction to Foraging Course with some highlights. Brian Higgins and Bernie Harrington, Community Education Learners joined Alan to chat on their experience on the foraging course, the opportunities that are out there to progress in and lots more.

Alan Morrissey was then joined live by Crona O’ Dea and Shannon MacNamara, both who are PLC learners. They discussed the courses they are both studying and there future plans once they finish the course.

Later, we welcomed Femi Odubote, who told us about how the RPL program values and recognizes that years of professional work experience are just as important as traditional classroom learning. Lexi Bowe and Kate Quinlan, Youthreach Learners informed us on their experience with Youthreach and what they are studying.

To round off the show, Alan Morrissey sat down with Marie O’ Callaghan, PLC Co-Ordinator and Guidance and Una Howley, Guidance Counsellor. They spoke on the Ennis College of Further Education and Training. Una gave us also an input on Information and Guidance within the LCETB and how to take the next step.
