Following the announcement that Molex is to close it’s Shannon plant in 2020, Cllr Gerry Flynn, Shannon, Independent and Helen Downes CEO, Shannon Chamber of Commerce joined Gavin on-air.
500 jobs will be lost, in what is the biggest economic blow to the region since the announcement that Roche is to close. Minister Heather Humphreys has vowed that workers will be supported, and says she’s “bitterly disappointed.”
