Marion Carroll – ‘My Miracle Cure’

Marion made headlines when her symptoms of multiple sclerosis disease were declared cured, following her visit to Knock in 1989.

From Athlone, Marion was aged in her late 30s and was a wheelchair user, incontinent, partially sighted and had speech difficulties.

When she attended the Anointing of the Sick at Knock, she says she was not hoping for recovery – but rather that her husband and children would be looked after by God when she died.

Instead she was able to walk, talk and see perfectly.

Last year, the Catholic Church said it recognised what happened to Marion as the first ‘cure’ at Knock. Marion has just published a book about her experience, called “My Miracle Cure”.
