Dancing teachers, like all sectors, have adapted to the current conditions, and have invested time and money to create safe learning environments for kids. Unfortunately, unlike other art forms they are not allowed to teach in small, socially-distanced pods during Level 3 restrictions.

A group of dancing instructors from across the country have come together to form the Let Our Children Dance (LOCD)campaign, which calls for indoor dance classes to be allowed to proceed at level 3 and level 4 of covid-19 restrictions.

On Tuesday’s Morning Focus, Gavin Grace spoke to Dearbhla Lennon, Principal female dancer in Lord of the Dance and Riverdanc, Irish dance teacher & adjudicator at Scoil Rince Móna Ní Rodaigh and spokesperson for LOCD.
