On Wednesday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Pat Hickey, Owner of shooting grounds in Kilmurry and Chairperson of the ICTSA and Tulla native, Matthew Sheedy. West Clare is getting ready to host not just one, or two, but three prestigious shooting events. The Crossmore Shooting Ground in Kilmurry McMahon is the venue for the upcoming European DTL Championships, The Internationals and The British Open DTL Championship.
Matthew discussed the three tournaments with Alan and explained what each of them are all about. He also informed listeners when each tournament starts and highlighted how these events are the biggest on the associations calendar.
Pat highlighted the importance of hosting the tournaments and outlined that they are great for the popularity of the sport in Ireland and in the community.
