Today on Morning Focus we spoke to the CEO of Greenfields Digital Sports Technology, Tomás Mullins as the GAA are to introduce a yellow ‘smart’ ball for 2020 Championship.
The traditional White Sliotar is set to be replaced by a yellow ‘smart’ sliotar for next year’s championship. The luminous colour of the ball will enable both players and match officials in terms of sighting the ball and it is hoped in the future the embedded technology will be able to provide data on the speed of the sliotar.
