Clare Haven Claims Majority Of Abusers Known To Victims Following New Report

Clare Haven claims reports of abuse within the home have almost become commonplace within sexual, domestic and gender-based violence services.

A new Central Statistics Office report has found that the suspected attacker was known to the victim in 71% of sexual offences and in 67% of assault related offences.

The report has also found that of all reported sexual offences, 49% of the victims were under 18 at the time of the incident
