Fitzgerald Hails Impact Of Young Banner Stars As Deise Duel Awaits In Cusack Park

One of Clare’s key men says the standard of hurling in the county is improving constantly due to the work being done at underage level.

The Banner will be hoping to move within touching distance of a third consecutive Munster final this weekend when they welcome Davy Fitzgerald’s Waterford to Cusack Park.

The emergence of younger players during the league has been cited as a major positive, with the likes of Conor Leen, Sean Rynne and Keith Smyth among those who impressed at various stages.

Inagh-Kilnamona’s David Fitzgerald says the standards set by players coming through from minor and U20 panels mean they are ready for the step to senior level.
