Edel Kelly from Kilrush died aged 26 due to breast cancer.
There was a 13 month delay in diagnosing Edel’s breast cancer and subsequent delay in treating her. Edel’s family took the HSE to court over this fact. The HSE admitted to breach of duty in the case but did not admit to causing Edel’s death. This week the family settled their High Court action against the HSE. Patrick Moylan, solicitor for the Kelly family joined Gavin to discuss the case more in depth.
