Ennis Traveller Organises Major National Ethnicity Celebration

Around a year ago, the State moved to formally recognise the ethnicity of Irish Travellers.

Kathleen Sherlock of Mincéir Whidden is among those organising a major national event to take place tomorrow (Thurs, Mar 14) in Dublin to celebrate that.

She will be part of a large delegation from this county who will be at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin to mark Travellers’ rich culture and heritage across music, art, craft, language and the community’s social history through its creative traditions.
