Cycle4Des Set To Take Place This October In Aid Of Fighting Esophageal Cancer

On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Fergal Lynch Co-organiser of the cycling fundraiser and Pat Ryan, Co-organiser and participant.

The cycle, which takes place on the 28th of October, will leave Quin, with Athenry being the ultimate destination.

Fergal explained that his father Des passed away due to esophageal cancer. The aim of the cycle is to raise money to help fight esophageal cancer.

He outlined a few of the symptoms his father was experiencing and highlighted that the event will also bring awareness in efforts to help early diagnosis.

Pat lost his own brother Declan to cancer last month. He further highlighted the importance of the cycling fundraiser and outlined what can be expected on the day.
