Clare man Gerry O’Brien has collaborated with artist and author, Tim O’Brien to write a book about his lengthy tenure at The Churchill Arms.
Gerry headed to London at the age of 17 and ended up staying there for almost 50 years. Gerry got involved in the pub trade, eventually becoming Landlord of The Churchill Arms in Notting Hill in the mid ’80s, a role he held for 32 years!
He served a host of famous faces from the world of politics, sport, and further afield, including Bertie Ahern, Prince Edward, and a host of professional rugby players.
To find out more about the book, Alan Morrissey was joined by London based, Irish Pub Landlord Gerry O’Brien.
