It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Keane, on 8th July 2026, in the tender care of the staff at Milford Care Centre, surrounded by his loving family.

Joe, a well-known Greyhound man and former Kilkee Postman, passed away peacefully. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bridget, his daughters Bríd, Claire and Michelle, his adored grandsons Leon, Max, Cian, Jesse and Séadna, his sons-in-law Conor and Kevin, his brothers Michael, William and Paschal, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing in St. Flannan’s Church, Lisdeen, (V15 XR22) on this Friday 10th July from 6.30pm with funeral prayers at 8.30pm.

Arriving to St. Mary’s Church, Carrigaholt (V15 CX85) on Saturday 11th July for Funeral Mass at 12 noon with burial in Kilcrona Cemetery.

“Joe fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith.”

As a mark of respect, Keane’s Oyster Bar and Restaurant, Lisdeen, will be closed on Saturday 11th July.
