The level of unemployment in Clare in June was at its lowest in 24 years.
New CSO figures show over 3,500 people in this county were in receipt of social welfare last month.

Approximately 3,558 people were claiming some form of unemployment benefit in Clare during June.
It’s just one person more than the lowest ever figure on record for the month, recorded in 2002.
Of those in receipt of social welfare here last month, 55% claimed in Ennis, 16% in Kilrush, 15% in Ennistymon and 14% in Tulla.
There was also a marginal increase in Under 25s claiming unemployment benefit, rising from 409 to 417.
