A west Clare woman who was the intended target of a sophisticated scam is warning people not to be duped into handing over their money to con-artists.
Mary was one of number of people nationwide, who were contacted by a number of people, who worked together in an attempt to trick people into making payments through Western Union.
Some people have been conned out of thousands of euro but luckily, Mary became suspicious and avoided financial loss.
