A gorse fire which has broken out in West Clare is understood to be under control.
The blaze was reported this afternoon in the townland of Kinturk, west of Kilmaley village.

Units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service have attended the scene and have successfully prevented it from spreading into the nearby forestry.
It’s understood they’ll remain on site until such time as the fire doesn’t pose a threat to the surrounding vegetation.
