It’s hoped power will be restored to almost 300 homes and businesses in Clare, which remain without supply in the aftermath of Storm Barra.

The properties in Monmore, Borrane, Killimer, Dumelihy, Doolin, Ballyea, Kilmaley and Doonbeg are among around 4,000 that lost supply in the county this week during the severe weather event.

ESB crews worked late into the night last night and resumed operations at first light this Thursday morning, in the hope of resolving the remaining issues.
