The region’s main hospital remains the busiest in the country, despite a dip in trolley numbers.
The INMO’s latest trolleywatch analysis shows 44 patients were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 27 of those in the Emergency Department.

It’s two more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 361 people are waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country – a 19% rise on this day last year.
