The region’s main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country despite a dip in trolley numbers today.
The INMO’s latest figures show 59 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 37 of those in the Emergency Department.

It’s 6 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a week when there have been persistently high numbers waiting to be admitted at the Dooradoyle facility.
