UHL Experiencing Highest Level Of Overcrowding

Nurses say the region's main hospital has experienced the highest level of overcrowding in the country once again today.

Figures from the the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show 39 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 28 of those in the emergency department.

It comes on a day where 364 people were left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.

At University Hospital Galway 34 people were waiting for beds, while the figure reached 32 at Beaumont in Dublin.
