Over 2 million euro in funding has been announced for housing adaptation grants for older people and people with disabilities living in Clare.
The allocation of 2.27 million euro from the Department of Housing and Local Government is an increase of €34,250 on 2021’s funding, and continues the year-on-year increases in the grant since 2014.
Individual grants of up to €30,000 are available to assist disabled people in this county to carry out necessary works to make a house more suitable for their needs.

Additionally, grants of up to €8,000 are available for older people to have necessary repairs or improvements on their homes, and grants of up to €6,000 are available for mobility aids.
