Two Men Arrested In Connection With Burglaries In Clare, Tipperary and Cork

Two men have been arrested in connection with ten incidents of burglary and theft across Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Cork.

It follows a spate of burglaries at businesses over the last number of months, during the course of which cash and good were taken.

The burglaries took place at petrol stations, post offices and shops, over the last number of months with cash, cigarettes and safes taken.

Two men, aged in their twenties and thirties, were arrested this morning as part of an intelligence led operation co-ordinated across the Southern region in recent weeks.

The operation focused on an organized crime group believed to have been involved in these offences.

The men are currently detained at Tipperary Town and Nenagh Garda Stations under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act.

A car, believed to have been used during the course of the burglaries has also been seized and is currently being examined.
