Members of the group, which had been aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla as part of an attempt to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, were intercepted by Israeli authorities last week.

Among those apprehended were Clare Public Participation Network founder Sarah Clancy and Fanore resident Maureen Alma.

It’s understood the activists are now getting on a flight to Greece and will travel on to Ireland from there.
