Some of the foremost exponents of Irish traditional music in Clare are being honoured at this year’s TG4 Gradam Ceoil.
The Tulla Céilí Band has been confirmed as the recipient of the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ award at a special ceremony at the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point.

Cherish the Ladies, which includes Joanie Madden, whose mother is from Miltown Malbay, Mary Coogan, who lives in the West Clare town, and Feakle native, Kate Purcell, has taken the ‘Music Group’ prize.
Tulla Céilí Band leader Mark Donnellan says he’s viewing the accolade as a win for the many families that have made the band what it is since it was founded 80 years ago.
