Tuamgraney & Scarriff Cut Food Waste

The communities of Tuamgraney and Scarriff are reported to have reduced 700 euro worth of food waste through a Clare County Council initiative. 

The programme saw 11 households collect and monitor all of their left overs and make a concious effort to cut down on it over an eight week period.

The scheme also included workshops on  meal planning, smart shopping, proper food storage and composting methods.
