A former planning official with Clare County Council has been appointed its new Chief Executive Officer.
Tuamgraney native Gordon Daly will head up the local authority having worked for Limerick City and County Council for the last decade.

Daly has previously worked as a Senior Planner with Offaly County Council before moving to Clare County Council where he worked in the same capacity until August 2015.
Following his selection by the Commission for Public Service Appointments, he’ll fill the position vacated by Pat Dowling who retired after an eight-and-a-half year tenure last December.
