Trump International Golf Links Doonbeg has been given the green light for a major enhancement of its resort.
The works will involve the construction of a new single-storey ballroom building, comprising a main function room; lobby and pre-function areas; reception space; bar and lounge areas; champagne and tea stations and bridal suite.

Executive vice president of the Trump organisation, Eric Trump has previously promised the plans would deliver “the nicest ballroom in the country”.
Clare County Council granted permission subject to 14 conditions.
