Three men are due before Shannon District Court today charged in connection with a burglary in Sixmilebridge in which a family was held hostage.
Noel O’Callaghan of Rinenanna View Shannon, Martin O’Callaghan of Finian Park, Shannon and Simon Gentles with an address in Finglas, Dublin are charged with committing burglary at a home in Ardkyle, Sixmilebridge, while in possession of a shotgun over a year ago.
A local woman and her teenage son were left severly traumatised following the alleged incident at their home on January 7th 2010.

The three accused men are expected to face trial later this year after the book of evidence is served in court later today.
