Tributes Pour in for the Late John Minogue

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council is leading tributes to the late publican and former Tulla Councillor John Minogue.

John Crowe says the popular 85 year old, who passed away at Cahercalla Hospital yesterday, was a "pillar of the local community" in East Clare.

East Clare Labour TD Michael McNamara says John Minogue was "one of the most popular" Councillors in modern times, while Deputy Timmy Dooley says he was a "fantastic community leader."

John Minogue served as a member of Clare County Council for over 30 years until he retired from politics in 1991, while he was also propietor of the well-known Minogue's pub in Tulla.
