Tributes are being paid to two bridge workers, including a South East clare man, who died after falling into the river Shannon on Saturday.
The men have been named as 29-year-old Brian Whelan from Bridgetown, O'Brienbridge and 36 year-old TJ Herlihy from Kerry.
The men, who had been carrying out work on Thomond Bridge, were strapped inside a security cage attached to a crane which broke free and fell into the water, trapping the two men.
A third man who was working with them was not seriously injured in the incident.
The men were working for Askeaton-based company Irish Bridge which has offered its sympathies to the families of Brian and TJ following the tragedy.
