The Shannon-based Atlantic Aviation Group is looking to recruit up to 15 apprentices to train as aircraft maintenance engineers.
It comes as Minister for Higher Education Simon Harris has launched a new plan which aims to see 10,000 people taking on apprenticeships every year by 2025.
There will be extra supports for employers who take on women, lone parents, people with a disability and those living in direct provision.
Training structure with the Atlantic Aviation Group, Tony Maher, says apprenticeship positions aren’t just being taken up by recent school leavers.
