Traffic lights are to be installed on a trial basis at Blake’s Corner in Ennistymon today.
In the wake of local protests, Clare County Council announced last week that the traffic signals system will be installed to address traffic congestion in the North Clare town.
The signals will be located on each of the three approaches to Blakes Corner, and the system will be monitored with a view to ensuring it operates in the most efficient way possible.

The Council is pursuing plans for a new bridge and Inner Relief Road and plans to advance that six million euro to planning by the end of the year.
