It’s hoped a new set of road markings on the M18 in Clare will help reduce the number of accidents along the route.
Chevrons have been marked on the road along a stretch of the motorway where a large volume of road traffic collisions have occurred.

Motorists will be advised to remain at least two chevrons behind the car in front at all times.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland Communications Director, Ennis native Seán O’Neill, is optimistic it will deliver a reduction in accidents on Clare’s motorway.
