TII Says National Cycle Network Will Connect Rural Clare Communities To Major Towns And Cities

Transport Infrastructure Ireland has given assurances that a planned network of cycle routes will connect even the most remote communities in Clare to major towns and cities.

Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan this week confirmed that €1.4 billion will be invested between now and 2040 in the National Cycle Network Plan which will result in over 3,500 kilometres of designated cycle routes nationwide.

The plan is intended to connect local authority greenways traversing rural towns and villages, such as the planned West Clare Greenway, to a national network.
