Kilrush is on track to receive ten new homes.
Approval has been granted for a local developer to build an array of units in the West Clare town.
Spanish Point Homes LTD is now set to deliver six three-bedroom semi-detached units and four two-bedroom semi-detached homes on a 500 acre site at Beal An Inbhir, on the Shanakyle Road.
Additionally the relevant ancillary works to be completed at the site will provide 23 new parking spaces as well as new connections to the public water mains and sewerage system.
Hasset Leydon and Associates lodged the initial planning application on behalf of their client on July 27th and in the intervening period, three public submissions were received , citing concerns with the removal of open spaces in the estate for existing residents and an imbalance of social housing projects in the locality.
Ultimately Clare County Council granted planning permission subject to 24 conditions.
