Thousands Worth Of Counterfeit Goods Seized During Man Utd Match In Dublin

Counterfeit goods worth around 25 thousand euro have been seized in Dublin.

Hundreds of hats, placards, and flags as well as over 2000 scarves were recovered during the Manchester United – Sampdoria match yesterday.

The seizure was part of a planned multi agency operation involving Gardai, Customs, council Trading Licence Inspectors, as well as reps from Manchester United and Adidas.

17 out of 21 vendors inspected in the Dublin 4 area were found to be selling counterfeit goods.

Gardai have confirmed that operations of this nature will continue throughout the country.
