TD Peter Mathews has resigned from the Fine Gael party.

The Dublin South TD says the party’s leadership have forced him to leave the party altogether.
Deputy Mathews was kicked out of Fine Gael parliamentary party after voting against the new abortion laws in the Dáil in July.
He’s the first member of the new Reform Alliance to have formally left the party altogether.
A party spokesman said Fine Gael had noted his resignation, and wished Deputy Mathews well.
