The Taoiseach Enda Kenny begins a 5-day trip to the United States today – the highlight of which will be a meeting with the US president Barack Obama early next week.
The annual meeting will take place three days after St Patrick’s day – which falls on a Saturday this year.

Mr Kenny will spend the National Holiday in Chicago where he’ll march in the city’s parade, and will also visit Notre Dame university, the home of the "Fighting Irish" football team.
The Taoiseach says he will be using the visit to promote Ireland as an attractive place to do business:
