Suggestions National Broadband Plan Rollout ‘Back On Track’ In Clare

There are suggestions that the rollout of the National Broadband Plan in Clare is now ‘back on track’.

It follows a slashing of the plan’s targets over the last number of years due to COVID-19, with two thirds of eligible premises in this county set to see work begin by the end of this year.

However, many parts of West Clare will have to wait until 2026 to be fully connected.

Inagh-based CEO of Muintir na Tíre Niall Garvey says while there has been positive progress, rural parts of Clare may be among the last to be connected in the country under the plan.
