New car sales in Clare held steady last month, as the industry here continues to bounce back.

111 new vehicles were registered in the county in June, a figure which is almost identical to that of last May.
However, it means there has been a 47% increase in the number of new cars sold here last month, up to 1455.
The Society of the Irish Motor Industry says it expects June to be a quiet month, as customers gear up for the new 142 registration plates in July.
