Residents in the Springfield area of Clonlara are hopeful they’ll be able to enjoy their lives free from the worry that their homes could be flooded at any given moment.
The long awaited construction of the Springfield Flood Relief Scheme will be officially launched today and work is expected to begin next month.
Homeowners in the area have been affected by regular instances of flooding in Clonlara on several occasions, stretching back to 1995 and more recently in 2009, 2016 and 2020.
