A call for special funding for Clare will likely be made this evening at a meeting to discuss the fallout of recent job losses in the county.
The recent announcement of a planned closure of Molex, as well as issues at Roche, Avara and Moneypoint has prompted Mayor of Clare Cathal Crowe to call the meeting at Council Headquarters this evening.

The IDA, Enterprise Ireland, and Clare’s Oireachtas members are all also invited.
Councillor Crowe is hoping that the different parties will come together and make a united case for Clare.
