South East Clare Auctioneer Says State Needs To Take Greater Role In Building Affordable Housing

A South East Clare auctioneer believes the State needs to take a greater role in building affordable housing for first time buyers.

It’s after new CSO figures revealed 145 new dwellings were completed in this county between October and December – the highest in any three month period here for a decade.

The stats don’t reveal a breakdown of social housing builds and private houses, though Niall Gilligan believes the market has become too skewed towards local authority housing.
