A Sixmilebridge Councillor is calling for spray painting warning and images around dog poo on pavements to be introduced in Clare.
It’s after Galway City Council piloted a similar scheme there, which saw its incidence of dog fouling fall by 55 percent.

Just seven fines have been issued to people in this county for not cleaning up after their pet between 2014 and 2020.
Fine Gael Councillor John Crowe believes a spray paint initiative could work to combat the problem in this county, particularly in housing estates.
