Sinn Fein’s Mike McKee has announced that he won’t be running in the next General Election, for health reasons.
The Shannon Councillor was previously selected to run for the party alongside Noeleen Moran, but The Clare Echo reports that both have now been de-selected as “the time period has elapsed” since they were put forward.

Ballyvaughan native Noeleen Moran has yet to confirm whether she will put her name forward again at Sinn Fein’s selection convention in the coming weeks.
Ennis Sinn Féin says that local member Violet Anne Wynne has declared an interest in running, and that the Cumann will meet to discuss new possible candidates.
