Sinn Fein leader visits Clonlara flood victims

The Sinn Fein leader is calling for a specialised River Shannon Management Agency, in an attempt to prevent a repeat the devastation caused by flooding in Clare in recent weeks. 

Gerry Adams is in the Springfield area of Clonlara today to witness the damage caused to houses and property first hand.

Sinn Fein are due to introduce a bill in the Dail in the coming days calling for the establishment of an agency with legislative powers to carry out flood prevention measures along the Shannon.
